Educational objectives of the information technology program

 

A few years after graduation, IT students are expected to achieve the following:

 

• Demonstrate professional competence in solving technical problems and finding solutions.

• Contribute to the development of the local and global community, maintaining the behavior and ethics of the profession.

• The ability to integrate and possess the necessary communication skills to work with high productivity and lead work teams.

 

 

 

  Learning outcomes of the information technology program

 

Upon graduation from the Information Technology program, the student is expected to:

 

● An ability to apply computing and mathematical knowledge appropriate to the field.

● Ability to analyze a problem, identifying and defining computing requirements appropriate to the solution.

● An ability to design, implement, and evaluate a computer-based system, process, component, or program to meet desired needs

● The ability to work effectively in teams to achieve a common goal.

● Understanding of ethical, professional, legal, security and social issues and responsibilities.

● Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences.

● An ability to analyze the local and global impact of computing on individuals, organizations, and society.

● Recognition of the need for and ability to participate in continuing professional development

● An ability to use current technologies, skills, and tools to practice computing.

● An ability to use and apply current technical concepts and practices in the basic information technologies of human computer interaction, information management, programming, networking, and Internet systems and technologies.

● The ability to identify and analyze user needs and take them into account in the selection, creation, evaluation and management of computer systems.

● Ability to effectively integrate IT based solutions

● Understanding and application of best practices and standards

● Ability to assist in developing an effective project plan
